Iceland Mixed Colors POPPY Flower Seed

Native to North America, this Poppy variety will bloom first year if started indoors. Poppy has delicate flowers in shades of reds, yellow, and white are 4 inches in diameter. Cut flowers in bud stage.
SOWING ... For early bloom, start indoors in peat pots or other individual containers as Poppies do not transplant well. For later blooms, may be planted directly outdoors through mid-summer. Plant poppy seeds in rows 1 foot apart on surface of soil. Keep moist until seeds sprout.
THINNING ... When Poppy plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin 12 to 15 inches apart
GERMINATION ... Poppy seed germinates in 5 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS ... Poppy blooms in mixed colors in late spring and early summer. Late plantings of Poppy will bloom the following spring. |

Oriental Scarlet POPPY Flower Seed

DEER RESISTANT: Oriental poppy has huge cup shaped flowers, which are a dazzling scarlet color with black centers. Oriental poppy, a hardy perennial is easy to grow and will provide many years of beauty in your flower garden. Oriental poppy normally needs no winter protection. For bouquets, cut flowers in bud stage.

Shirley Double Mixed Colors POPPY Flower Seed

Originally this poppy variety came from the common field poppy. The poppy plants have deeply cut foliage, slender hairy stems, bearing silky petaled blossoms, that are often fluted.
SOWING ... Plant poppy seed outdoors as soon as ground can be worked where they are to bloom, as Poppies do not transplant well. Poppy seed is very fine and care must be taken not to bury too deeply. Plant poppies in row 1 foot apart or mix with sand and broadcast. Cover Poppy seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
THINNING ... When poppy plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin 12 to 15 inches apart.
GERMINATION ... Poppy seed germinates in 5 to 10 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS ... These flowers bloom in a few weeks from seed. Sow successive plantings as late as mid-July, will provide continuous flowering. |

Double Mixed Colors PORTULACA Flower Seed

LOW GROWING: Portulaca will bear in the poorest soil and are desirable for hot, dry, sunny spots. Portulaca make excellent flower beds or borders and rock gardens. This Portulaca variety contains mostly double flower blossoms, but some singles always occur.
SOWING ... Plant Portulaca seed outdoors after all danger of frost is past or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks earlier. It is helpful to mix seed with sand before sowing, as the seed is extremely small. Barely cover seed with fine soil, well pressed down. Mist gently.
THINNING ... When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin or transplant Portulaca 5 inches apart each way.
GERMINATION ... Portulaca seed germinates in 7 to 14 days depending on soil and weather conditions.
REMARKS ... Portulaca does not normally need watering except during a prolonged drought. May be successfully planted outdoors as late as mid June. |

PURPLE CONEFLOWER Flower Seed

SOWING ... Sow Purple Coneflower seed in a sunny location during early spring through mid summer. For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Cover seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep moist until plants begin to grow.
THINNING ... When plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin Purple Coneflower 18 to 24 inches apart.
GERMINATION ... Purple Coneflower seed germinates in 15 to 20 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
REMARKS ... Purple Coneflower wildflowers require little care. Water only when necessary. For additional Purple Coneflower plants, divide clumps after 2 or 3 years of flowering. |

Painted Daisy PYRETHRUM Flower Seed

Alaska SHASTA DAISY Flower Seed

WILDFLOWERS: The Shasta Daisy Alaska Flower variety are white daisies with yellow centers, bloom in June and July the second year and every year thereafter. Shasta Daisy is very showy in beds or borders as well as natural meadow settings. Shasta Daisies make excellent cut flowers as well.
SOWING ... Sow Shasta Daisy flower seed outdoors in late spring or early summer. Cover seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. If broadcasting, mix flower seed with a cup of sand and spread over an area of up to 75 square feet. Lightly rake to cover seed. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
THINNING ... When Shasta Daisy plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin or transplant 12 to 15 inches apart.
GERMINATION ... Shasta Daisy seed germinates in 14 to 21 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.
