EASY TO GROW: Gaillardia is one of the brightest and easiest to grow flowers of all the perennial daisies. Single flowered color mixture of red, rose, yellow, and bronze. Gaillardia makes excellent cut flowers for your special table and adds a touch of brightness to any room.

SOWING ... Plant Gaillardia seed outdoors in late spring or early summer. Sow seed in rows 24 inches apart and cover seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.

THINNING ... When Gaillardia plants are 2 to 3 inches high, thin or transplant 12 inches apart in the row.

GERMINATION ... Gaillardia seed germinates in 3 to 4 weeks depending on soil and weather conditions.

REMARKS ... Perennial wildflowers prefer full sun and sandy soil. Gaillardia will tolerate drought, poor soil and heat. Plants normally need no winter protection, and will bloom next June or July.

Geraniums are one of the world's most popular container grown flowers. Geraniums are excellent for window boxes, pot culture, rooftop gardens, or bedding outdoors. Geraniums are handsome, strong, bushy plants and bear large flowers ranging in color from white through pinks and reds.

SOWING ... Plant Geranium seed indoors about 8 weeks before frost-free date. Space seeds 1 inch apart in rows, 3 inches apart and cover with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Cover seed tray with plastic or paper to conserve moisture. Remove cover as soon as seeds sprout.

THINNING ... When Geranium plants are 1 to 2 inches high, thin or transplant to 10 to 12 inches apart.

GERMINATION ... Geranium seed germinates in 14 to 28 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.

REMARKS ... Geranium plants are easy to grow and require little care. Remove faded Geraniums flowers to encourage more flowering.

These airy plants are almost devoid of foliage, but their extremely delicate, well-branched stalks produce a charming, misty effect in the garden. Gypsophilia bear numerous tiny white blossoms, which are in great demand for cutting and combining with other flowers. Gypsophilia is a must have flower in your flower garden inventory.

SOWING ... Sow Gypsophilia seed outdoors early in spring. Cover seed with 1/4 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Do not cover seeds deeply. Plant successively every three weeks, for continuous bloom throughout the summer.

THINNING ... When Gypsophilia plants are 3 to 4 inches high, thin or transplant to 12 inches apart.

GERMINATION ... Gypsophilia germinates in 10 to 14 days depending on soil and temperature conditions.

REMARKS ... When once established, Gypsophilia should not be disturbed on account of its long tap root.

Gypsophilia Baby's Breath is a bushy plant with branching habit bearing dainty small flowers on long slender stems. Baby's Breath is suitable for flower gardens or borders combined with other perennials. Gypsophilia Baby's Breath is used extensively in the trimming of bouquets.

SOWING ... Plant Gypsophilia Baby's Breath flower seed outdoors as early in the Spring, as ground can be worked. Gypsophilia seed may also be started indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. Baby's Breath may be started outdoors as late as early July. Plant in rows 8 inches apart, spacing seed 1 inch in the row. Cover Gypsophilia seed with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.

THINNING ... When Gypsophilia Baby's Breath plants are 3 to 4 inches high, thin or transplant to 6 inches apart in the row or bed.

REMARKS ... When once established Gypsophilia plants should not be disturbed as they have long tap roots. A winter mulch of leaves or straw helps prevent plant damage.
