New Carpet of Snow Alyssum is a fragrant annual flower that is popular for rock gardens, borders and walks. Alyssum withstands cool temperatures and the pure white flowers bloom early in your organic garden or flower bed. New Carpet of Snow Alyssum is low growing and deer resistant.

SOWING ... Sow alyssum seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked, or as late as midsummer. May be started indoors in March. Place seeds 1/2 inch apart in rows 4 to 6 inches apart. Barely cover seed with fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until seeds sprout.

THINNING ... When alyssum plants are 2 inches tall, thin or transplant 6 to 8 inches apart in the row.
